Bulbs & Dried Flowers for December

Fragrant paper white bulbs are easy to force for indoors as days grow dark. Participants will make and take 3 containers with 3 bulbs in each and instructions on care. We will also make a dozen boutonnieres, each using dried flowers. These can be non-electric ‘lights’ on a Christmas Tree.

Window Sill Herb Planter

If you have a sunny indoor window sill, come and plant an indoor herb garden to enhance your winter cooking. Participants make and take a planter with 8 different herbs. Also offered in spring for outdoor patio container.

Intro to Biodynamics

In three parts (40 min. presentation & 20 min. conversation)

Herbs: Tea and Seasoning Blends

In this class we will make several tea blends and bag them to take home. We will also make some seasoning blends, including herb salts and BBQ rubs. Techniques and recipes provided.

Create a Strawberry Planter

In this class you will plant a strawberry pot, the kid with pockets around the sides, using Alpine Strawberries. Alpine Strawberries fruit during their first season, don’t runner, and taste incredible. Participants will plant a container and take it home with instructions for care.

Compost & Soils 101

In this hands on workshop we will look at different approaches to home & community composting and soil mixes. Soil biology is the biome for your plants and compost provides it. Participants will take home 6 quarts of a potting mix that we make in the class.
